Garth Richards, Principal Consulting Hydrogeologist and Managing Director, has worked in the industry since graduating in 1985. His fields of expertise are water management, water resources, hydrogeology, geology, geophysics, project management, and quality management. Much of his experience has been in the investigation, development and management of groundwater resources throughout Western Australia and in the Northern Territory.
Garth also has considerable experience in mine water control/dewatering studies for the mining industry in Western Australia and Queensland. He has participated in these projects at all levels up to project management, and in the last two to three years, project direction. In recent years while a Principal in his own company he has developed QA/QC monitoring programs based on Australian Standards, WHO Drinking Water Guidelines and Australian Drinking Water Guidelines for a number of operations within the WA goldfields.
Garth Richards completed his Bachelor of Science (Geology) in 1986, graduating from Flinders University of South Australia. Since then he has kept up his training completing various courses including MARCSTA, Senior First Aid, Project Management, Quality Assurance - Internal Auditer (ISO 9001), and 4WD training. Garth's professionalism, thoroughness and eye for detail mean he definitely leads by example.
Nathan has worked in the industry since graduating in 1995. His fields of expertise are hydrogeology, geology, geophysics, remote sensing and GIS, project management, and quality management.
Much of Nathan's experience has been in the investigation, development and management of groundwater resources and preparation of natural resources maps in Tamil Nadu, Southern India. He also has considerable experience in mine-water control/dewatering studies for the mining industry in Tamil Nadu. He has participated in these projects at all levels up to project management.
Paula has recently joined the industry and Rich Consulting Services following graduation from Edith Cowan University with a BSc in Environmental Management. Paula also has two years experience in the finance and administration field. Her major interests are in aquatic systems, land management and rehabilitation of contaminated sites. She also has experience in flora and fauna surveys, marine park zoning, data collection, data analysis and technical report preparation. Paula is currently in training to develop a career in Environmental Hydrogeology.
Tony has worked within the mining industry for 20+ years and in the last 13 years with WMC Resources as a Hydrogeological Technician. His fields of expertise are equipment management and procurement, field techniques, test pumping, baseline investigations, environmental monitoring, and routine QA/QC surface and ground water monitoring.
Much of his recent experience has been within WA: WA goldfields (Kambalda, St Ives, Kalgoorlie, Leinster, Laverton, Mt Keith), Nifty (Pilbara), Three Springs, Perth Metro, Kwinana; SA: Olympic Dam (Roxby Downs); Qld: Mt Isa; and the Philippines. Tony is an experienced field operator in terms of contractor supervision for the drilling and installation of monitoring bores, supervision of test pumping contractors and surveying contractors.
Simon is professionally qualified as a Cartographer with over 13 years experience in the industry. Over the last seven years, he has gained competence and experience in Hydrogeological and Geological Exploration Mapping with the former WMC Hydrogeology Group.
Previous to this, Simon had six years experience in Topographic Mapping with Department of Land Administration.
Since joining the industry in 1994, Simon has become a proficient Microstation, Arcview and Corel Draw operator with experience in digital capture, editing and production in a cartographic environment producing high quality products. Simon has prepared numerous hydrogeological and bore location plans for a wide range of projects for Rich Consulting Services.
Haylee first joined Rich Consulting Services in 2002 on a casual basis assisting in report reproduction, but rejoined the company on a full-time basis in January 2007.
Haylee is responsible for all office reprographics, including technical report collation, binding and reproduction. Haylee has also developed data entry skills for bore completion logs, test pumping, baseline data and monitoring data. Haylee has been instrumental in coordinating and managing the receipt of data from the field, supervising the data processing and entry into databases, as well as coordinating data verification.
Haylee also assists in the back-office administration including timesheet data entry, reception, filing and other general office duties. Haylee has further assumed responsibility as relief administrator when our main office administrator is on leave.
Tammie joined Rich Consulting Services in 2006 on a casual basis but became permanent part-time in June 2007.
Tammie is responsible for document control for large projects, management of the company's report and technical library and development and management of the company's filing system.
Tammie has also provided assistance in data entry for baseline data, bore completion logs and general work processing as well as assisting in the back-office administration including reception, filing and other general office duties.
Gary Meyer has over 20 years of water management experience for a major international mining company. Skills cover the full range of water and environmental issues from exploration to mine closure. His experience covers mining projects in Australia, North America, SE & Central Asia, Scandinavia, Caribbean and Africa.
Graham has worked as a geophysicist in mineral exploration for more than 25 years. Since 1990, he has applied geophysical methods to groundwater exploration, site characterisation and environmental monitoring at several sites in Australia for WMC and BHP Billiton.
